Reading Time: 3 minutes

This of course sounds like a clickbait title and it is not, but it is not as crazy as you might think. But it is still important to write about it.

Here is how I ended up being a witness of a bomb attack in Syria.

Where did it happen?

I went up to the citadel of Aleppo, which is an impressive thing to visit. In general the whole city and country is having something really special which is worth visiting.

Just while being at the citadel and learning something about its history, it happened.

There was a massive blast from the distance. Every local nearby was in shock.

It looked like they were having some sort of shock in combination with flashbacks. It was sad to see the faces nearby, the whole time smiling and that threw them back by a lot.

Everything and everyone was silent for a moment.

Why did it happen?

>> A little explanation video by BBC in 2018 <<
I know it might not be the best source of explanation, but honestly, there is almost no media who are talking about it. It is just an idea of giving a sort of rough understanding of the situation.

It is about Idlib, a city next to the border to Turkey.
As you know, I am not allowing myself to make political statements, I am just talking about what I see and it is not good. So many things in this world are not being talked about, because nobody from the bigger media seems to care. Idlib isn’t of course the only stage of shit happening in this world, but it is somewhere I have felt an effect on people.

While I visited Syria in 2022, nobody was allowed to enter and nobody was allowed to leave. At the time I visited there were some bombs exploding in the zone.

How did the bomb attack feel?

It is crazy, even though it was happening 50 kilometers away, you were still able to hear it quite clearly. It was so clear that everyone was reacting to it.

My heart was beating a bit faster, but it had not the biggest effect on me, but it was shocking to see everyone’s reaction. When reliving traumas again, it is just not easy to handle.
I didn’t know how to react, because it was my first time to experience, probably by not seeing any impact directly, there wasn’t the biggest fear appearing.

The sound was the same as you imagine from movies or stuff like that, so obviously you would know what it would be.

Why do I write about the bomb attack I witnessed in Syria?

I just write about it, because the people I meet from Syria in the country and also outside of it are just very great people. They experienced a lot of bad things in their life, but still can smile. The smile is being taken quickly when realization is hitting.

What I just find sad, there is an eye closed on the topic, but of course not only Syria. There are so many bad things happening, but we only focus on some of the bad things, which is of course also good to look at them. It is just important to pay attention to more bad things happening, in order to change something.

I really like to be in Syria, the food is great and the people as well. It is just that you find destroyed things everywhere and that is hurting to see.

Bomb attacks are happening at many places in the world and there is nothing to be talking about it, but of course there are so many things happening in the background which can’t and will not be told from me, for that there are better people to do so.
