Reading Time: 2 minutes

Rammstein, a German band, who almost always plays songs in German. They are internationally famous and have concerts all over the world, how is it to visit one of them in Mexico?

What to expect when going to a Rammstein concert in Mexico?

Many things are getting sold, with signs on them, which you could never wear in Germany, and people are wearing it, because they think it is authentic.

When going to the concert, I was thinking of meeting many Germans at the concert. Which was for sure not, what was happening. Most likely locals were visiting the concert.

To get a good spot, when having a standing spot, depends on how early you arrive. People don’t really like to let you through. Still it is possible somehow, to make it further to the front.

A sold out stadium and many phones all the time. This is probably now at concerts, that everything is going to get filmed. Also most people are knowing the lyrics and can sing in German the songs, which was super interesting to see.

The people in Mexico are in general really nice, also during the show and when having a standing spot, expect to have much physical contact with the other visitors. You are going to get pushed from all sides.

There are always people walking, to sell beer, which is of course super over priced!

How was the price and transportation?

The price is depending on where you are, we paid around $50 for the standing ticket. when getting a ticket in the “Feuerzone” so in english, the fire zone, you can expect to pay at least $300.

It is hard getting good tickets, due to their fame, but not impossible, just be quick.

The concert was at the formula 1 race track. The transportation in Mexico City is, generally speaking, really good and cheap. A one way ticket with the metro, costs you five pesos, which is a quarter of a Dollar or Euro.

Problematic was that after the concert, the metro was not driving anymore, due to the timing. With buses or taxis, you needed to get to your final destination, which was way more expensive!

Summary

The concert was amazing, probably the best concert I was at. The show from the band was with a lot of fire and just great.

Sadly my phone was stolen after the concert, which was sad, because all the pictures were on there, which doesn’t mean it is not in my memory. For this topic, you should read this article: Click on this text for the article.

In general the music is not what I listen to every day, but that doesn’t matter, because the show is just really good and worth seeing.

I would love to hear your experiences about this place, or questions. Share it with me in the comments.
